Outdoor Research Down Beanie: why I did not recommend it
Original source: 2023-06-07 · Alfonso Quinonez
My answer in the original review was no: I did not feel the comfort and experience justified the price I discussed then. A useful review should keep that negative verdict even when the site earns affiliate commissions.
Comfort was the main objection
I disliked the comfort and appearance and felt that I became sweaty wearing it. Those are personal fit and use impressions. The video does not compare the beanie against a controlled set of other hats or establish how it will feel for every wearer.

I also raised concerns about moisture and washing down insulation. The short review does not document a mold test or measured damage from laundering, so those comments should not be read as proven defects. Check the care instructions for the exact model.

For my needs, I would not have prioritized this purchase. The price mentioned in the recording is historical, not a current offer. If you are still considering it, judge the fit, intended activity and care requirements before deciding.
