STIGA Dynasty Carbon vs Tibhar VS Unlimited: my beginner’s trade-off
Original source: 2021-03-05 · Alfonso Quinonez
I recorded this comparison after about six months of lessons, using Butterfly Rozena on both sides of both blades. My question was practical: did I want more help generating speed, or clearer feedback while working on technique?
Tibhar: the control I preferred for practice
The VS Unlimited felt controlled and comfortable to hold. I had to move and engage the stroke to produce pressure; a passive contact could leave an easy ball for my opponent. I preferred that feedback for practice because it made mistakes easier for me to notice.

The Dynasty Carbon felt heavier and more premium to me, and gave me useful speed even with less effort. That was fun in matches, but I also sent balls long and found some backhand transitions less comfortable with that handle. These are personal impressions rather than measured specifications.

My original preference was Tibhar for feedback and technique, Dynasty for a more aggressive game if I could control it. The rubber and handle are part of that choice. This was not a comparison of complete premade paddles, and the review does not establish that an expensive carbon blade is necessary for a beginner.
